“What makes us human is not our mind but our heart, not our ability to think but our ability to love.”

— Henri Nouwen (?)

(I am currently tracking down a source. At the very least, it is here.)

I have in some sense been deconstructing myself.

I have been helped by the material that Autistic people have written about being Autistic in the particular ways in which they are Autistic, so I am doing much the same in the hope that it might be helpful for someone else… should anyone ever happen to find it.

And it would be really cool if folks — meaning the people who purport to be helpful — could eventually figure out what autism is truly all about… because right now, they’ve got a whole lot of the picture just plain wrong.

I mean, yes, I am well aware that (in a nontrivial sense) what I have is an intense case of Trace.

But still.
